Arigato, Kichijoji!

As my wonderful and amazing fiance makes me pancakes for my last morning in Japan, I bid a temporary sayonara to this blog.

But never fear! (Because surely that’s what you are doing.)  There are hundreds of stories and observations I have yet to share, and thousands – I kid you not – photos left to upload.

To grossly modernize the words of Henry David Thoreau, “My life has been the post I would have writ, but I could not both live and blog about it.”  I’ve been too busy having wonderful adventures to be able to recount them all while here.

So I will continue to share them, a little at a time, and who knows? Maybe by the time Don and I leave for London in June I’ll be all caught up on our Japan adventures…

But in the meantime, I head back to the US for the annual American Academy of Religion conference, and this is always an exhausting (even if also exhilarating) jam-packed experience.  Plus I’m giving my paper on Monday, so I’ll be a nervous wreck until then.  So I will be taking the week off from blogging, but I’ll be back just in time for Thanksgiving!
